I have relations in Brazil, brown Howler Monkeys, and other tribes, living in the Amazon Rain-forest. (Picture above left of a brown Howler howling). I think that the new President elect, Jair Bolsonaro, will look after them, in spite of the usual left-wing howls of protest, that would make the monkey’s howls seem tame. The howling Lefties contend that Bolsonaro will destroy the monkey’s habitat, I myself think he means to farm it productively, but sensibly improving productivity is rarely a Leftie trait. Time will tell, but I am an optimist.

Surely the land that nurtured world champion racing driver, Ayrton Senna (pictured left), must have produced other outstanding sons? Brazil shares much in common with Australia in terms of great natural wealth and a naturally optimistic people. It seems that the voting public in Brazil have been awakened, by this new leader, from their left-wing induced stupor; a stupor in which they have languished for some ten years. They have now worked out that the “lefties” of Brazil have been living the high life, whilst enslaving the bemused public to such concepts as “sustainable growth”. The new President is a former military officer, who has strong Christian convictions. He has said, among other provocative statements, that he will beat any two men observed kissing in public. It will be interesting to observe how this new leader progresses and whether Australia will undergo a similar awakening. All good material for a supposedly evolving Chimp to study. I am not ready to leave my zoo yet!
