Genesis 12:1-3; It’s NOW Personal

In spite of his many faults, overall President Trump has hauled America back from the brink of collapse from the lunacy of the Democrats. To this monkey the Mid Term election results would indicate that this once great and powerful nation has embraced a demonic death wish. Sadly it is hard to see how God can bless America now. I now fear for Australia, my adopted country.

Genesis 12:1-3; It’s NOW Personal
By Bud Hancock
Before it occurred, I had put much thought into the mid-term election just held on
November 3rd here in the US. And, being a staunch conservative, I had much hope that
the Republican Party would sweep the open seats in both Houses of Congress. We now
know that the results are showing the exact opposite; it seems that the Democrats have
won both the Senate and the House of Representatives. My hope was not based on the
GOP being populated by a group of righteous individuals who, as individuals, always
follow the Bible in the decisions they make as “representatives of the American people”,
but it was based on the historic fact that, for the most part, the GOP had adopted the
Judeo-Christian principles and ethics that aligned with God’s Word. That fact alone would
make the Republicans the first choice for all Christian voters who also stand with, and
ON, God’s Word.
Based not just on this election, but on the political actions taken by so many elected
leaders of the United States administrations over the last fifty years, it has long been
apparent to anyone who has even a small amount of spiritual discernment, that our
once-great nation has decided to place herself in the “goat nation” column when Jesus
decides the fate of ALL nations. And based on the candidates who were rejected by the
American voters, who distinctly spoke by their ballots, it clarifies in my mind the reason
why God spoke the words to Abraham more than 4000 years ago, and recorded in
Genesis 12:1-3 –
“Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and
from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great
nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I
will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all
families of the earth be blessed”.
Notice the use of the plural “them” and then the singular “him” in verse three. God made
it plain that he was issuing His decree to both the entire world (all the people of the
Earth), the nations, as well as to every individual who would ever live after Abraham
was chosen to be the Father of the people from whom would come the Messiah, Jesus of
Nazareth.

Born and raised in a small textile town in North Carolina, Bud’s family moved to Michigan in the hope of finding better employment with General Motors. After graduating from high school, Bud began an apprenticeship with General Motors to become a Metal Modelmaker. Retiring after a 30 year career, which included an eight year stint as a Metrologist (Science of high precision measurement), he and his wife moved back to North Carolina to be near his elderly parents. Shortly thereafter, with both of his parents having passed, he began a new career in the bank security/ATM business, advancing from an entry level technician to one of two North Carolina customer service managers for his employer. Retiring again after 13 years, he and his wife of 51 years relocated to Tennessee where Bud began writing articles emphasizing Biblical teaching and geopolitical issues. At age 75, he and his wife relocated to South Carolina with their Miniature Schnauzer, Baxter. Bud continues to study God’s word and write articles on Christian living and geopolitical issues from the Biblical end times perspective.
