WILLESEE AT SIXES AND SEVENS – SURPRISES HIMSELF!

 

My older readers will remember Mike Willesee, the hard hitting no-nonsense Channel 9 TV journalist who often publicly exposed frauds. After a series of remarkable supernatural happenings, including surviving an aircraft crash – about which he had a supernatural premonition – he came to an acceptance of Jesus Christ some time ago now. Mike may not yet have all the i’s dotted and t’s crossed theologically speaking, but he seems to have undergone a genuine change of mind, away from his legendary scepticism concerning Christianity. This monkey is heartened by hearing this. It will certainly encourage me to investigate the whole story. I do wish him all the best as he battles major health issues.

Mike recently remarked: “I think God and religion are just so politically incorrect at the moment. Nobody wants to know. You can be laughed at just for saying you believe in God.” Well, take heart Mike, this monkey’s not laughing, he takes you seriously.

  1. Thoughtful and accurate observation (I think) of the secular, contemporary view the world has of Christianity.
    Mike Willessee’s observation reminds me of the truth in 1 Corinthians 1:18…” For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
