What’s SO SPECIAL ABOUT JESUS?

Our training session yesterday dealt with several Historical facts about Jesus Christ. Lee Stroebel, a former Chicago Daily Herald investigative crime reporter, has listed what he calls the five “E’s” leading to a belief in the Reality of Jesus Christ:

  • Execution – He was clearly dead.
  • Empty Tomb – he had checked out.
  • Eyewitnesses – their lives were transformed by seeing the Risen Christ.
  • Early records – Paul’s authenticated writings in the Bible.
  • Emergence of the Church – the Christian Church grew rapidly from a small number of Christ’s followers who were prepared to die for their beliefs.
  • We then viewed Billy Graham’s well known sermon “who is Jesus?”

  1. What an inspirational and challenging preacher of Jesus was the late Billy Graham….a modern-day John the Baptist, preparing the way for the Lord’s Return.
    Observing the state of our world today – corrupt and broken with still a little bit of remnant beauty from its initial creation in perfection, I think Jesus’ Return might be sooner rather than later!

  2. Loved Lee’s book, “The Case for Jesus”. I bought it for my son, Warren, but I guess he didn’t read it, he never spoke of it.
