I am enjoying our Australian Winter with its cooler temperatures and sunshine. As I basked in the warmth this morning, contemplating the beauty of the Sydney Harbour from the Chimpanzee Compound at the zoo, I wondered:

• What is the sun?
• How does it function?
• Is Life on Earth dependent on it?
• How does it differ from other stars?
