I see yet another “abortion bill”, euphemistically named “The Reproductive Healthcare Reform Bill 2019”, is being presented in the NSW Parliament this Thursday, after a delay forced by some concerned Liberal MP’s. It comes up for debate next Tuesday. If passed, it allows abortions to be legal for any reason up to 22 weeks after pregnancy. Thereafter it requires only two doctors to approve the termination. The Daily Telegraph reports Police Minister David Elliott, backbench MP Kevin Conolly, Mulgoa MP Tanya Davies and Vaucluse MP Gabrielle Upton were among those who pushed back against the bill.
I noticed that many supporters of the bill are women. One of them is Leslie Williams, State Member for Port MacQuarie. I remember when she was most vociferous in closing down Greyhound Racing in NSW not long ago. She is on record as saying ” “It is a very complex issue, but the injury to dogs is just unacceptable.” Well, in that case, this Chimp would rather be an injured dog, than an unborn dead human. I don’t want Leslie Williams deciding my fate, thanks very much. I wonder what she thinks of Chimps? She is probably more lenient towards them. This is another good reason I am happy to stay in my zoo compound. Evolution? This is more like Retrogression.

Thanks for the heads-up Chugley. I’ve just now sent off a polite email to Leslie Williams asking her stand and reasons for such in the hope of entering into further discussion with her on the subject.

Things that used to be held precious in our western “Christian” culture, such as human life, are being replaced by the growing, sinister atheism that is prevalent in Marxist philosophy. To Marxists, life is temporal and without true meaning or purpose. This philosophy degrades the value and dignity of human life. From this, it’s not surprising that abortion is being supported. Apparently a baby is not “human” until birth when it can be seen and heard. So, Leslie Williams and most of her cohort are being moulded by this dangerous ideology. They do not have the moral “right” to legislate over what our Creator God has determined for all time – that is, that humanity is the pinnacle of His Creation…of great value, and no doctor or legislator has the moral authority to interfere with that. Pushing God’s Will aside so casually will have consequences…if not in the election box, it will certainly in the ongoing moral health and character of our nation. To me, it means too many of our godless politicians are unwittingly dragging us down into moral decline…and that won’t do any of us any good in the long-term!
