Dear HBC Family and Friends,
We’ve come to our final sermon in our series on the Apostle’s Creed. The title of this sermon is: “I Believe in Life Everlasting, Amen!”
Eternal life is more than an endless existence: there will be endless existence in hell, and the Book of Revelation calls that everlasting death. Eternal life is entering into the joy of Jesus, i.e., being with Jesus is the essence of heaven, it is what our eternal life is all about. In Psalm 16:11, David wrote: “You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” That’s what heaven will be for eternity!
Please reflect on this message, and share it with those with whom you would like to spend eternity. In addition, we invite you to take this opportunity to engage more deeply with your faith.

News Stories that Connect with Biblical Prophecy

My Fellow Watchmen,
The most “frightening” article in this edition of the Watchmen’s News Letter concerns the massive rise of Democratic Socialism in America. According to an article published on the Breitbart News Network,
“Democratic Socialists admit their goal is to “Overthrow the American Empire.” That’s what the Democratic Socialists of America stand for, and their candidates continue to beat the Democratic establishment. It’s very frightening, for these people hate this country.”
Democratic socialists are anti-capitalists, anti-police, pro-open borders and unlimited immigration, wrongly assuming that these positions would improve the country by reducing economic inequality and corporate influence. However, they cannot name one country where such policies have produced what they claim they will.
Democratic socialists argue that unregulated American capitalism prioritizes corporate profit over the well-being of the working class. They advocate for replacing it with an economy structured around public welfare, universal healthcare, and workers’ rights.
Beloved, these far-left ideologies are fundamentally incompatible with American values and pose a threat to the nation’s existence. What does it say when there are those who would rather accept the penance given to them by the government than have the opportunity to be financially independent and help others provide for themselves?
