The more studious of my readers will be interested to know Wikipedia’s definition of the word Gaia:  Gaia philosophy is a broadly inclusive term for related concepts that living organisms on a planet will affect the nature of their environment in order to make the environment more suitable for life. N.B. Gaia is very much a New Age type of deity, as a Google search will explain…Chugley

You will be further bemused to know that one of Australia’s paid civil servants, the aptly named Gaia Puleston. is enjoying the “Paris agreement Global Warming” meeting in Katowice, Poland, (temperature this morning 4 degrees C). Gaia will not be lonely as our generous Government has sent around 29 other civil servants (mostly women) to keep her company. Gosh, I hope there is some money left over for my banana allowance after this heroic attempt to help our planet cool!

  1. Chugley. In this ‘enlightened’ age in which we live, is it possible to become a woman, just for a little while, long enough to get a Govt. sponsored trip somewhere, and then revert to my male self. But the downside would be listening to all the doom and gloom predictions. Maybe I will give it a miss. By the way, yesterday, I had to update some credit card info and I was asked; Mr; Mrs; M’s; select one. I clicked Mr. and then was asked if I was ‘male; female; other’. As a Mr., I obviously assumed wrongly, that I was Male. Nothing is simple anymore. Please Jesus, come soon, while I still know who and what I am.

    1. No wonder life is confusing for us monkeys, when the humans don’t know if they are male or female Milton? I am off to another vet today to see if he can help me revert to my old energetic self, I can only swing through a few trees now, instead of the whole wood, do you think it is old age creeping up on me?       1. I pray the Vet can give you some “monkey pills” that will keep you ‘swingin’ for years. Hang in there, you are do’in great.
