Trump: A Defender, or Deceiver, of the Jews?

God has always expressed His love for the Jewish people and stated that He ALONE is
their protector and savior. He has said, many times, that he will never forsake them.
After the death of Moses, speaking to Joshua, the successor to Moses as the leader of the
Israelites, but also to the entire nation of the Jewish people, God said:

“Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord it came to pass, that the Lord spake
unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying, Moses my servant is dead; now
therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give
to them, even to the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread
upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. From the wilderness and this
Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto
the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. There shall not any
man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be
with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage: for unto
this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to
give them”.

Seems quite cut and dried, right? So, how is it that, after more than 78 years since the
rebirth of Israel as a nation, the Jewish people seem to be unable to totally secure their
covenant land from all their surrounding enemies? After all, Israel is now a powerful
nation, both economically and militarily, with the best equipped and best trained fighters
in the world. One would think that gaining and maintaining control over the land God
promised to them would be easy, but that has not proven to be true, so there must be
other reasons for the failure to possess the land as God promised many centuries ago.
I dare say that, had the issues that Israel has faced for 78 years been faced by any of the
small, nearly unknown, third-world nations, the world would hardly mention it in their
media outlets. But when the nation is Israel, the entire world jumps in and very publicly
and loudly decides what Israel MUST do to avoid any confrontation with her neighbors,
most of whom have threatened to destroy Israel for all of those 78 years. If I were a Jew,
whether living in Israel or another nation, I would be hard-pressed to believe anything
that came out of the mouth of a non-Jew, especially a politician. The Jewish people have
suffered more persecution since the diaspora, after the destruction of the second Temple,
than any other people in history.

SPOT ISRAEL!

The Jewish people who rejected Jesus of Nazareth as their Messiah, were punished for
that act by the loss of their temple in Jerusalem and their dispersion to nations all over
the Earth. During that time, God has not dealt with them as a nation, and WILL not until
the beginning of the 70th week of Daniel, that seven years commonly known as the
Tribulation Period.

God has yet seven years of dealings with the Jewish people as a nation before the end of
the age. He also has stated that He wants all the Jews to return to their ancestral
homeland where He will finally “settle up” with them for all the times they disobeyed
and rebelled against His commands. But, how to get them all to leave the foreign lands
where they settled during the diaspora, where they became so entrenched, so
comfortable and yes, so wealthy, that they seem to have little desire to fulfill the
centuries old cry of their brethren, “Next year in Jerusalem”. But in spite of their
hesitation to leave their comfortable surroundings and return “home”, God is still in
control and WILL make a way for their return.

It seems almost automatic for non-Jews to jump aboard the “Jew-hate train” in response
to any charges levelled against the Jewish people, or the nation of Israel, by member
states of the United Nations, and especially by those states surrounding Israel who have
tried so hard to eliminate them for 78 years. These Jew-hate responses are rather like a
knee-jerk reaction, a quick brainless action that so often replaces any attempt to
determine the facts about the charges levelled against Israel. I dare say the majority of
such reactors do so because they have been programmed by the overwhelming
antisemitism/Jew-hatred flooding the mainstream media throughout the world, to
assume all negative charges against the Jewish people are true, and therefore they speak
before they think. My own personal belief is that these Jew-haters have fallen victim to
the deception of Satan causing them to accept that all jews are monsters who kill
Palestinians and try to force them from what they continue to claim is “their land”. A
simple search of the history of the past 2000 years would be a great education for them
and might even open their eyes to the truth that the land in question was given to the
Jews and ONLY the Jews in perpetuity by Almighty God. I would recommend that all
these Jew-haters start by reading the Bible since that is the only TRUE historical record
that provides everything one needs to know the truth about God and His covenants with
Israel.

Could we be seeing the set up for the method God will use to “encourage” all the
members of the Apple of God’s Eye living in their current locations outside of Israel to
return to Israel? Using the example of the United States, where a large number of Jews
(approx. 7.5 to 7.7 million) live as of 2025, consider that there will need to be some
serious events take place to shake the Jews loose from their comfort zone here in the US
and return to Israel.

The wave of antisemitism that has rocked the Jewish community in the US could well be
one of those “events” that will cause many Jews to reconsider their future here in the US.
Of course, antisemitism has been an issue long before the United States became a nation,
so why would that now be a factor contributing to a massive wave of aliyah to Israel?
Reading the many news articles about the raging antisemitism around the world, I sense
more than just a distaste for the Jewish people; this is more like a rabid, total hatred for
Jews and everything Jewish.

Right now, the entire world seems to be concentrating on the war being waged between
Iran and the United States, and currently to a lesser extent, Israel. That war, which began
in February 2026, has had more ups and downs that a theme park roller coaster. Bombs
drop, infrastructure is destroyed, and just when it seems that Iran will not be able to
continue, Trump backs off and announces another ceasefire. Of course, the Iranians use
these periods of quiet to rearm and recover their defenses. I have never observed a war
like this one. It appears to have become a war to be fought but not WON. It is extremely
confusing and seemingly impossible to determine what outcome is desired by Trump
and his subordinates. Do they actually seek a total victory over Iran, with regime change,
similar to the outcome of WW2? Or are they stalling for time so that Trump can
announce that he finally has his much longed-for “deal”?

During this war, with all its ups and downs, on again, off again bombardment of Iran,
interspersed with “negotiations” that will hopefully produce Trump’s “deal”, the thing
that stands out is how many times Trump has spoken his demands for an end to the
military action, and then reversed himself and changed the demands, usually to lesser
ones. Such wavering does not produce a warm and fuzzy feeling for the nation of Israel,
nor for the other “so-called” US allies in the region. What it does produce is an
atmosphere in which Trump appears to be hesitant, indecisive and even clownish in his
actions. That atmosphere is most certainly sensed by the leaders of Iran; it also leaves
many wondering if Trump can ever again be trusted to follow through on his promises,
especially the ones that he used to try to scare Iran into agreeing to his “deal”.
It seems unlikely that a major power like the US could have such difficulty finishing this
war weeks ago, by simply using overwhelming US military power against a nearly
defenseless Iran. Knowing the capabilities of the Israeli Defense Forces, it also seems
likely that they could have brought the war to a successful end had not Trump ordered
them to “stand down” multiple times. Does that sound like a person, a world leader,
defending Israel and the Jewish people? Or does it sound like a narcissistic egotist
hellbent on securing his place in history as “the man who brought peace” to the Middle
East through his “deal”?. Even if Trump manages to secure a pseudo-peace, it will be
short-lived and will end up bringing more evil and destruction to the Jewish people. True
peace will not be secured except by THE man, Christ Jesus!

The Hebrew word “shalom”, (Strong’s 7965, pronounced shaw-lome’) translated into
English as simply “peace” in the Bible, is actually a Hebrew word with much more depth
in meaning than one English word. It is defined as “safe, happy, well, prosperity, welfare
and peace”. It is a derivative of the Hebrew word shâlam (Strong’s 7999, pronounced
shaw-lam’) and defined as “to be, or be made, safe, to be complete, or completed. It also
relates to “restitution, recompense, render, make prosperous, and reward”. So it can easily
be seen that it is much more than just an absence of war or hostility. It implies a total,
complete state, or sense of well-being, living in complete assurance of ownership and
prosperity. It truly, and simply, means “nothing broken, nothing missing”.
This state of being is the main reason God sent His ONLY Son to be the Mashiach, the
Anointed One, to provide everything the world, not just the Jews, but every person,
would need to live in that state of perfection. It is a state that can ONLY be provided by
the Mashiach; no other man can ever begin to accomplish what the “Prince of Peace”,
Jesus can do.

The word shalom, as defined above, when applied to Israel and the Jewish people, will
NOT be achieved until every square inch of the now-divided land God promised to the
Jews for an eternal inheritance, is in the complete possession of Israel. Incomplete
military actions against Israel’s enemies, with long periods of “pseudo-peace” (called
ceasefires), rather than a complete annihilation of her enemies, will not result in shalom
for the Jewish people.

Any man, regardless of personal charisma, or position of authority in this world, who
promises that elusive peace, while delaying action that might actually bring any peace, is
more of a deceiver of the Jews than a defender of the Jews.

Politicians, especially those in the United States, both from the left and the right, have
tried to be the ones who finally brought shalom to the Middle East, and all have failed
miserably. Now, many of those same politicians seem to be distancing themselves from
the Israel issue, and from Israel and her leaders in general. Does this sound like
defenders of Israel?

Recent polls here in the US show that the Democratic Party, an organization that has long
been the political preference for most American Jews, indicate that Democrats especially
are now forsaking the Jewish citizens of the US and abandoning their commitments to
Israel. If accurate, you can expect more and more American Jews to feel that they have
little future in this country. That alone might be great impetus for many Jews to finally
pack up and leave their current comfort zones and return to their ancestral homeland,
there to await the appearance of their Mashiach. If nothing else is accomplished through
the constant wars and hostility than the incentive of Jews to return to Israel, at least one
of God’s desires will have been honored.
