THINKING CHIMP IN ACTION!
Some of my readers may think that this Blog is all I do. In his wisdom the Zoo IT guru linked my scribblings to various “social media” platforms which results in numerous enquiries. I reproduce one such conversation below:
Chugley answered: Neanderthals were fully human and lived in the Neander valley of Germany. A German friend of mine has been tested as carrying some Neanderthal DNA, they suffered from deformities, such as rickets, caused by a lack of nutrition, because they lived soon after the devastating flood of Noah, which deprived the plants and food of many needed vitamins and minerals.
My enquirer replied:
Neanderthals went extinct by about 30-40k years ago…
Well before the mythological global flood was set in that story…
… and many people of European ancestry carry traces of their their DNA, etc.If they were around AFTER the mythological global flood, they would have needed to be on the mythological Ark… and there was no mention of that in the mythological story.
I replied thus:
You must have good reason to believe this? I was of the same opinion until I started reading books on the subject. Neanderthals have been tested as having human DNA. Also I look at the Grand Canyon and see huge evidence for a flood, you may see what the Colorado River is believed to have taken millions of years to carve out. The recent (1980) eruption of Mt St Helens in Washington State provided a great example of how a miniature “Grand Canyon” was formed in an afternoon! It all depends on how you look at the evidence!
and my friend Paul added:
How does your enquire “know” that Neanderthals went extinct? Any way, if they lived after the flood, as you maintain, they must have been related to the “mythical” Noah and his family who survived the “mythical flood” on their “mythical ark”..
Quite right Paul. You begin to see why it is so difficult for an evolving Chimp to decide what’s true and what’s “myth”.
Gibber! Gibber!

I wonder why the enquirer asked the question; if he already ‘knew the answer.’ Maybe it was just baiting!
Looks like the enquirer is of the school of: – I believe it; so it must be the truth!
May the snow-flakes continue to rain in the universities of California! Or should I say reign in California
Yes, I think you are right! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
Yes, we battle on! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
