THE ROLLING THUNDER…
We had an interrupted sleep in our Zoo Sanctuary last night. As the thunder rolled and the lightning flashed all around us, I was reminded of that stirring Hymn “How Great Thou Art”. Link here………….. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnvg0OtupuI
I don’t know why many of you humans have difficulty in believing that there is a Creator God. As the Bible says, in Romans 1:20 you are without excuse.
ROMANS 1:20 “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”
Witnessing that incredible power of a thunderstorm being unleashed in the sky last night, I don’t know how anybody could fail to be in awe of a power beyond our control or comprehension.

When one considers the energy unleashed in a single bolt of lightning, and extrapolate that many trillions of times when other awesome amounts of energy are being continuously unleashed throughout the cosmos….I think it points to a Creator too; and that Creator has mighty power, and yet the Bible tells us that He loves us. How good is that?!!
Yes Paul, it seems only a few can make this mental leap of faith. To us it seems logical, to some it seems illogical. Guess we are all different? That is part of the challenge of life. Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
Dear Chugley, my apologies for my quietness, I have been pondering some of your recent input. We all know what ANZAC stands for, but AMP ?? perhaps “A Mortified Public”, what a shambles. An indication of the depth of morality of today. Even in our most trusted, (well they were), institutions. Seems it has all gone to the dogs, another one of your posts. Even dogs don’t pinch your money, tho’ they chew it up in other ways. And as my old uncle used to say, ” by thunder, how dare they”. My favorite writer, Job, of the Old Testament said,“The thunder and lightning frighten me;……………We have seen that God All-Powerful, really is all powerful!
But he is just and never treats anyone unfairly.
That is why people fear and respect him.Ch 37.
PS It’s worth a read.
Thank you Milton, I have missed your always thoughtful responses, welcome back to our Blog. I too enjoy Job’s wisdom and insight, such wisdom seems sadly lacking in these days of dog eat dog. I am keeping my eyes on the Middle East, I cannot help but think the days of Jacob’s trouble are fast approaching. Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
