REGULAR VET CHECK

REGULAR VET CHECK

May 30, 2018

My good ally, the chief Zoo vet, came by to give me a quick health check just after the power cut. There are around 30 people employed in the zoo veterinary department, they look after creatures ranging from Frogs to Elephants. The chief vet is rather startled by my exhibiting symptoms of evolving into a human being. So far my only method of communication with him is by written notes via my computer, power cuts are thus most disruptive to my life. He was pleased with my condition which he put down to having a good diet, much better than I would have in the jungle. I must keep up my banana intake, he said.

I seem to be the only Chimp in the zoo showing signs of “evolving”. I find this most puzzling, but I continue to research the matter. I always end up reading the book of Genesis in your Bible, in order to check from whence I came. This book makes perfect sense to me, I am persuaded to think that somehow I have got a “jumping” gene that enables me to think, but a large part of the human genome download is still missing. But then can one of your Primates explain why I can easily hold a banana with my foot while swinging from a tree branch? Bet he can’t do that! I searched out a picture of one of your human Primates on Google, (see above) I think you will agree, he doesn’t look at all like me.

There is much genetic similarity between chimps and humans, so Chugley, you might well grow to look more like a human one day…but, I’m sorry to tell you that there is a huge gulf between “looking like” something else and “being” like something else in mind and spirit. We humans are so much more like our Creator in that we have the ability to think,
conceptualize, create, reason, and spiritually connect with Him. Sorry Chugley!
