Today the Zoo had a visit from ‘Quiz Works’. ‘Quiz Works’ began after Matt Gordon had an idea, and shared it with two other Christian friends, 21 years ago. Matt wanted to use puppets as a way of teaching the Bible to children. They now have 20 permanent staff members and perform around 1,100 shows a year.
I was fortunate to be invited to the show, along with other animals and many children belonging to our keepers.
The show featured Jordan and Michael. The puppet was an ostrich with a yellow wig. This show was full of energy, joy and happiness. It graphically explained, through puppetry, song and visual story boards, how the Love of God works in practice. Its climax was the presentation of the story of the salvation of Zacchaeus the tax collector.
He was named “Zac” to make it easy for the children ( and some of us animals) to understand. The puppet character asked pertinent questions all the way through, creating much hilarity.
There is a link above, which gives an idea of the theme of the presentation content. Quiz Worx can be contacted at www.quizworx.com
