Prof IAN PLIMER, IT’S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY
I was pleased to see Professor Ian Plimer on the Andrew Bolt show last evening. He was his usually affable self, (usually affable – that is unless discussing Creation and the Bible), making strongly derisive comments about the fantasy of man-made Global Warming.
My more avid readers will recall he made my column back in the “inky” days of 2001 – see: https://chugley.blog/a-tail-of-two-primates/ when he enlisted the help of Archbishop Hollingworth to write the introduction to his book Telling Lies for God. You may recall that the Anglican Archbishop was also Governor-General of Australia for a time, in spite of supporting the Republican movement. Something that greatly puzzled this Chimp’s Primate mind.
It is rather bemusing, at least to this evolving student Chimp, to hear the whisky-sipping Prof. explaining to Andrew Bolt, over a rare drop of the hard stuff, that Melbourne and the hinterland were once tropical rain forests. Very much in line with a Biblical timeline. It seems that what separates the jovial Professor from an equally jovial Creationist point of view is his profoundly differing perception of time and its passing. The more I study the issues in contention, the more I lean towards a young age for our earth.
I was further shocked at the Professor’s statement implying that many Climate Change believers are that way because of the money they earn promoting these fashionable beliefs! “It’s all about the money,” quoth he.
Thank you, Professor Plimer, for stimulating me to think. May you have many more rocks named after you, and may they never be in your head.
Gibber! Gibber!
