POETICAL PALMER?
I must admit to having a soft spot for eccentric characters, such as Howard Hughes, Winston Churchill and Donald Trump. Perhaps it is the Chimp side of me that enjoys throwing coconuts, which makes me gravitate towards Clive Palmer, who says, humorously, that the Greens would legislate for citizens to receive pensions from birth, and free marijuana for life. He had the “bottle”(as John Howard would say) to appear on the Andrew Bolt show, even finishing the interview with the words “God Bless you Andrew”. Who knows, he may even have touched Andrew’s allegedly atheistic heart.
But Clive seems to be one of the only prominent Australian figure who states emphatically that we need a coal-fired power station or two. He goes on to suggest that we build them on a coal field. Seems like good sense to this monkey. The zoo wishes him well with his endeavours, including building replica dinosaurs and a Titanic, all this and poetry as well – rather apt really, we need to re-build a successful Australia. That would be something to write a poem about.
Gibber Gibber,

Coal for electricity…yes!
Model dinosaurs and Titanic…don’t care. Sounds a waste of money, though.
Clive as a credible politician…no!!
This monkey likes anything that makes people think, however seemingly ridiculous, Paul – eg: are you related to me? Or did mankind and Dinosaurs co-exist? Are Dinosaurs millions of years old??
Maybe Clive is an IN – Credible politician? Just a provocative thought from the zoo….Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
