NEANDERTHALS – WERE THEY HUMAN?
Neanderthals! A curious race of people who lived fairly shortly after the flood of Noah. See www.creation.com website. It seems they were fully human, but suffered certain deformities owing to the poor diet they were forced to exist on after the flood had ravaged the earth — such afflictions as rickets, which causes bones to be malformed and give the person a distorted appearance.
The image at the heading of this post is a typical artist’s impression of a supposed Neanderthal.
Many people think that Neanderthals were a different species – a missing link (hence the fascination many of my readers seem to have with them), but they were human beings descended from Adam who was made on Day 6 of Creation week, and remained human, just as we were created Chimpanzees and remain – Chimpanzees!
Except for me apparently! it’s that transposon problem I cannot fathom. Is there another qualified Primate out there who can help?

Hi Chugley, I was interested to discover recently that my DNA which is being sequenced at the moment in the US to discover my ancestral origins, will not only tell me I am a mix of various nationalities, but it will also tell me how much Neanderthal I have in me! I might need to fashion my own club and grow more hair if I want to do them any honour. Ugg, ugg!
You never know, it might suit you! But, really, some people will believe anything except the TRUTH! Gibber Gibber! Chugley
You must be a very clever Neanderthal, Chugley – I had to look up the meaning of ‘transposon’! Why do people wonder about such skeletal finds? Surely people scattered all over the globe after Babel would have struggled to survive as best they could – real cave people!… eating whatever they could find until houses could be built.
Thanks Kyle. I just did what everybody does, and consult Google. Trouble is I don’t believe it! So you think I a maybe closer to becoming a Neanderthal? Now I’m really confused! Gibber! Gibber! The transposon short of a load Chugley Chimp
As you raised the topic of Neanderthals, it whet my interest to do some reading about them. I noticed that the cause of their extinction was probably due to either interaction with humans who moved into Neanderthal territories…or possibly climate change! So…climate change is nothing new, and like back then, nothing can be done humanly -speaking to stop it happening…if indeed it is happening!
Thanks Paul. Yes, it is very interesting. As I continue my reading I am constantly amazed by the wilful ignorance of many of your relations (not close ones though!). I think the expression is “malignant dumb”. Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
