JOHN WESLEY “A BRAND PLUCKED FROM THE BURNING -“
This is a gripping overview of the life of John Wesley. As an infant John was saved from a house fire which inspired the Title of this post.
I know you will enjoy this. Bringing you something different each day.

What an informative and helpful biography of a remarkable Christian! His outdoor ministry over many years is said to have refined and sweetened a rough and coarse English society at that time. He certainly is a wonderful example of a godly life.
I notice on YouTube there are several of his sermons. Here is a link for you Chugley…to “refine and sweeten” you even more!!
Many thanks Paul! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
Thank you Chugley. Talk about a man who devoted his whole life to what he believed was important. In this I’m referring to the claims of Jesus. It’s claimed that he saved England from civil war & unrest because of his convictions. It’s because of John Wesley struggles with the theology of his day – one must work out their salvation in belief & good works to that of discovering , it’s only in Christ alone one inherits eternity with God, and that good works flow from this belief. John practiced & preached what he believed wholeheartedly and for that he was basically locked out of the established church of that day for doing do. Some of his forward practices in establishing the Methodist church were centuries ahead of his times and in many churches today are still not practiced or are seen as improper, (but I will not push my bandwagon here).
Oh Chugley, as I look at England in those days of John Wesley, the social disorder, a world abandoning God , a world focusing on ‘me first’, and that of today, my heart grieves to the foolishness of ourselves in thinking we know better. Oh how we need more John Wesley’s today to awaken us, awaken me from our slumber.
Thanks Martin! That’s why I stay in my zoo, thanks. It is not worth the grief to fully “evolve”, at least that is how I feel right now, I’ll just enjoy another banana at human expense, thank you. Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
