Houthis send Ballistic Missile to Saudi Capital…..

Explosions were heard over Saudi Arabia’s capital Wednesday morning as fighting intensified between Saudi-backed forces in Yemen and Iran’s Houthi rebel allies.

A Saudi military spokesman said a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis was intercepted over Riyadh.

The Houthis vowed Wednesday to continue targeting Saudi Arabia’s international airport and oil infrastructure in the coming days in response to “Saudi aggression” against Yemen’s capital Sanaa.

President Trump has said he’s considering joining attacks on the Houthis as the rebels attack Saudi Arabia and threaten global energy supplies.

The Houthis have threatened to target U.S. personnel and interests across the Middle East if Trump does order strikes, which could drag the U.S. deeper into the wider war.

Houthis Building Advanced Missile with Chinese Parts…..

New report shows how the Yemeni Houthi group is developing medium-range weapons independently of Iran.

The Houthis are attempting to produce their own advanced medium-range ballistic missiles using Chinese-delivered parts, a new report shows, a technological advance that would raise the threat posed by the Iran-backed group.

The Houthis shipped in from a Chinese supplier a range of components needed to make a version of one of Iran’s most powerful weapons, the Kheibar Shekan Iranian precision-guided missile, said the report by Conflict Armament Research, a group that works in conflict zones and reports on the use of weapons and their supply chains.

The Houthi missile would have a range up to about 1,200 miles, putting all of Saudi Arabia and Israel within reach.

Tensions flare near Strait of Hormuz as a ship is seized, another is sunk….

A ship anchored off the United Arab Emirates was seized and taken toward Iran and another — a cargo ship near Oman — sank after being attacked, authorities said Thursday, as tensions escalated near the Strait of Hormuz.

It wasn’t immediately clear who was behind these incidents, but they happened as a senior Iranian official reiterated his country’s claim of control over the waterway and another said it had a right to seize oil tankers connected to the U.S.

The turmoil in the strait, which a fifth of the world’s oil passed through before the war, has been a sticking point for weeks in talks between the U.S. and Iran to end the conflict.

Iran’s supposed grip on the vital waterway has jolted the world economy and spiked fuel prices far beyond the Middle East.
