GYMS IN TROUBLE – WHAT ABOUT THE ZOOS?
I enjoy swinging through the trees in my compound, so I feel sorry for you humans who are unable to go to the Gym for a bit of swinging. It seems these facilities are going bust at an alarming rate during this lockdown. I thought your Government was promoting “we are all in this together”, but it seems that does not include the tax office nor some of your banks who have been quite ruthless in demanding due payments from businesses which have been shut down by law. I remember one Paul Keating describing Australia as “The Clever Country”. Maybe these institutions think money comes from thin air? Well only they and the Government can rev up the printing presses, but a day of reckoning must come.
What bothers me is how long will the money tree support a zoo with no incoming revenue? It may be back to the jungle for me! Perish the thought…

I don’t know whether you and Mrs Chugley enjoy tinned food, but if life gets tough, I can post a few tins of baked beans and spaghetti to the zoo….maybe also a bunch of bananas for dessert!
We may have to take you up on that, got any loo paper? Gibber! Gibber! Chugley and wife
Dear Chugley. You have reminded us of Paul Keatings “Lucky Country” quote, not so now ( but then we are much luckier than most other countries, so maybe he had something after all.) Another famous quote; “By 1990, no Australian child will be living in poverty”. That one was a bit off the mark. Another great Australian Ben Chifley; “It’s no good crying over spilt milk; all we can do is bail up another cow.” And that would seem to fit our current situation. He also said; “The job of the evangelist is never easy.” Our current PM is doing a great job, but it is not easy. We should all be praying for him and our Nation.
Yes, if I were human I would do just that. SCOMO is doing well! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
