FISH AND CHIPS ANYBODY?
I have been plowing my way through the latest edition of Josh and Sean McDowell’s book, Evidence that demands a Verdict. This is the benchmark book of evidence for an apparently evolving Christian monkey to read. I have reached page 643 of this 798 page tome and the following explanation of “postmodernism” really rang my chimes. Let me enlighten you:
“What is called postmodernism varies considerably according to context, but in, its most general and widespread form, the postmodern mind may be viewed as an open-ended, indeterminate set of attitudes that has been shaped by a great diversity of intellectual and cultural currents; these range from pragmatism, existentialism, Marxism, and psychoanalysis to feminism, hermeneutics, deconstruction, and postempiricist philosophy of science, to cite only a few of the more prominent”. (Tarnas PWM, 395)”
I am sure you feel enlightened? It reminds this Chimp of how a politician’s mind seems to work these days.
I have decided to volunteer for Pauline Hanson’s One Nation party. (I can understand what she means without resorting to a dictionary.)
Why, I ask myself, does it take Alan Jones to shake your Prime Minister into action over the drought? (Perhaps Mr Morrison is a postmodernist?) He doesn’t seem to grasp that, for a dairy farmer to produce milk, he needs live cows, not dead ones – which involves feeding them now to keep them mooing.
Pauline ran a fish and chip shop. She understands how to run a business.
I reckon, since Cory Bernardi disbanded his party, that Pauline offers the best chance for my zoo, and Australia, to survive. She seems thoroughly modern to me. Who needs the “post” version?
Gibber! Gibber!

The Australian people have been fed PC for too long now, and Pauline Hanson presents ….no…has always presented as a common sense and passionate proponent of what the nation needs. It speaks volumes about others playing “politics” that she was vilified for many years, including a short imprisonment for dubious reasons. She is still vilified by mainstream politicians, yet she remains committed to the national interest. From my amateur observation, many people are disillusioned with mainstream politics and can see for themselves deeply pressing national needs. I agree with you, Chugley…I think she’s the genuine pollie we need. But will powerful forces, including the media, make her promotion unattainable?
This is hugely encouraging for an apparently evolving monkey, battling to understand you mixed up humans. If this sort of common sense becomes mainstream I may decide to leave the zoo and go to Canberra, to add more of my thoughts to the mix. More power to Pauline, she has won her spurs I’d say! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
