Critics of the Iran Deal are Dead Wrong––All of Them!

June 22, 2026

Joan Swirsky hits the hot button once more with a compelling post on the current Iran war. This monkey prays she is right and some sense is injected into World affairs. Meanwhile I’ll enjoy another Banana.

Just got this post published before I go off air to get updated!

Critics of the Iran Deal are Dead Wrong––All of Them!

By Joan Swirsky

Many years ago, my daughter Karen saw the movie “Grease” 20 times! By the fifth time, she could recite every line, even every lyric from every song.

So, I ask myself, what is both wrong and wrong-headed with all the…

·         seasoned foreign correspondents,

·         journalists worldwide,

·         military experts,

·         think-tank personnel,

·         social-media know-it-alls,

·         so-called influencers,

·         actual diplomats,

·         serious lifetime students of Middle East history,

·         Jewish organizations,

·         diaspora denizens,

·         sophisticated Israeli leaders,

·         political activists,

·         largely clueless celebrities,

·         egghead academics,

·         the world-is-coming-to-an-enders,

·         Even POTUS’s own CIA director, John Ratcliffe, warned that the Arab signatures to this deal would never honor their pledge…

…and all the other hand-wringing, pearl-clutching, hair-pulling-out, Xanax-popping pessimists and skeptics and cynics who actually think that President Trump not only lost his mind by forging and signing the Iran Deal, but that he abandoned our staunch ally Israel and, in essence, guaranteed  that a nuclear Iran would ultimately fulfill its longtime stated goals: to utterly destroy the Big Satan, America, and the Little Satan, Israel?

HAVEN’T ALL OF YOU SEEN THIS MOVIE BEFORE?

I was not witness to what I fervently believe is a phone conversation––or two or three or four––that took place between President Donald J. Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu well before this historic “deal” was signed, but I bet it’s pretty accurate!

DJT: “Bibi…You’ve served your country a helluva lot longer than I’ve served mine, so you know what it takes to juggle all the priorities, all the noise in your ears, all the crazies. Well, that’s me right now. I have the midterms coming up and you’ve seen how the California vote was just rigged…just like the entire presidential election of 2020 was rigged …and you’ve seen how even celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary the other day was interrupted by a plot to overthrow our entire government… and the bastards who did this admired Hitler and said they wanted to inflict harm on politicians linked to Israel!

“So, this is the plan. I present an Iran Deal that has a lot of good things in it, it’s a 12-point plan, but both of us know the players and how untrustworthy they are to honor to any agreement. But to convince the populace that it’s the real thing, I’ll have to let a lot of that big public out there believe that you and I are at odds… I’ll have to insult you and even use a few vulgarities, you understand. Believe me, I wasn’t a TV star for 14 years without learning what the public eats up.”

Bibi: “I ‘get it’ 100 percent, Mr. President, and I’m on board. I will make all the right sounds, for instance: ‘We know we are on our own but we cannot afford to leave Lebanon to Hezbollah, we value your amazing support in moving the embassy to Jerusalem, in the Abraham Accords, and in helping to destroy Iran’s military and economy and many nuclear sites…but I’m sure you also ‘get it’ Mr. President, that our mutually agreed upon charade cannot last past the midterms.’”

DJT: “Absolutely, Bibi… I promise you that one day past our victory in the midterms, if they don’t honor every word of our Memo of Understanding (MOU), we will wipe those bastards out…and their lust for nukes to annihilate the Big Satan, us…the USA, and the Little Satan, you, Israel, God’s gift to the Jewish people! And by the way, I know they’re saying that I denied Israel access to the deal before it was signed, but that’s because I knew the Saudis had it and would release it for you and all the world to see, which they’ve already done.”

Bibi: “I’m intimately familiar with MOUs, Mr. President, and I know that they only state what both sides understand, what objectives they’re pursuing, and how they intend to move forward….and that is far from a final binding agreement with detailed enforcement, verification, implementation, and consequences for violations. But I have to say, and I’m sure you will understand and agree, Mr. President, that we in Israel are 100% determined to prevent these virulent anti-Semites from ever ever ever getting a nuclear weapon.”

DJT: “Good, good…of course you do! But I also want you to understand that I have to slam you about the war in Lebanon that you’re waging against Hezbollah. Don’t remind me that they’re a terrorist group, Bibi. I know exactly who they are and the terror and violence they’ve inflicted on Israel since 1982 and even up to today. I have a few researchers too, Bibi. In this agreement, I’m recommending that Syria do the job, that Syria destroy Hezbollah. But if this monster group continues to attack Israel, then do what you have to and know that my criticism is all about this Iran deal and not because I don’t applaud you for getting rid of these terrorist maggots in your midst. I would do the exact same thing!

“But don’t forget, Bibi, the deal requires you to withdraw from Lebanon within two months, so don’t drag your feet!

ESCALATING WORDS

Bibi: “Understood, Mr. President, but sometimes I don’t know what to believe. I just read that the other day when you had a bilateral meeting with Qatar’s delegation, you said that Israel was “killing too many people” and that “without the US, there would be no Israel,” and that without you, there would be no Israel because no other President was willing to do what you did.”

DJT: “Bibi, Bibi, Bibi… consider the source! This comes from a NY tabloid that has been very supportive of me…before this deal! So, they make up stuff that can’t be verified because it never happened and the gullible readers eat it up… and it gives them something to argue about until the next fake news comes along.

“And that’s not the worst of it. They’re all piling on. Even my pal General Jack Keane said the deal was an “absurdity.” Can you believe that?

“And Reza Pahlavi, y’know the exiled crown prince of Iran who wants to be the next leader there––I know him, he’s a nice guy––but now he’s saying the deal is doomed to fail.

“And who is this Tobin fellow who says the deal is ‘a staggering defeat for the United States, for Israel’ and for myself personally? He calls it a ‘triumph for Tehran.’ What’s the matter with him?”

Bibi: “Tobin’s a good guy, Mr. President, but he’s just upset. Like a lot of other people, he simply doesn’t grasp the thinking of a Big Picture guy like you. I’m sure you know Al D’Amato, the retired New York Senator. He was a Big Picture guy too. They used to say that Al thought like a Chess player who was always six moves ahead of the opposition.  But most people are small-picture people…they just see what’s in front of them and that’s it.”

DJT: “Very good, Bibi. So true. They also don’t see, as a very good writer wrote about the other day, that the real target of my deal with Iran was Obama
