CALLING ALL PRIMATES
A friend brought to my attention the fact that an ordained Anglican Priest has today been on the Television pontificating about Israel Folau. It seems that this priest considered Israel to be “out of court” (my loose translation) in publicly quoting the Bible. He further told his, presumably astonished, audience that the Bible was “out of date” in many of its statements. I feature a picture of the late Dick Emery, a comedian who specialised in featuring the eccentricities of Pontificators.
I am an avid reader of the Bible and supporter of free speech. But I wish such ordained Pontificators would fully explain their sweeping statements. Please tell me where the Bible is “in date”. It is very confusing for an, apparently, evolving Primate, to grasp such things, when “qualified” theologians make such conflicting statements and then also deride footballers.
I feel inclined to call out to ordained Primates in the same way our Prime Minister called out for tourists….”Where the Bl***** H*** are you?” (in his famous ad, featuring Lara Bingle, see our heading). A sort of Primate to Primate call.

When some of our church leaders are diluting, or even abandoning key Biblical doctrines, what a tragedy for the church in general! How weak and vulnerable their churches must become…the flock in the care of a careless shepherd (John 10:12). They’re not being led into “green pastures” by these wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Chugley… You’re growing in your literary skills, and you have a pure heart that’s seeking “truth”. You’ll do well if you take the Great Shepherd’s advice to “keep your eyes fixed on Jesus” and learn to love His Word. Then you will show how well you’re evolving, because you’ll be growing in what humans call “wisdom”. That’ll definitely help to avoid confusion!
Thank you Paul for helping this monkey to steer a wise course through my meanderings. Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
Dear Chugley. What’s next ? “The Bible is out of date” so saith the ordained priest. So, if I steal his car, I can claim; “thou shalt not steal” is out of date. Me thinks he may not agree to that. “Dear Sir, what else is out of date? Murder, adultery, lying”. I read the other day this quote from the Hon. Winston Churchill; “All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom…. justice…. honour…. duty…. mercy…. hope “. All things the Bible teaches. “Sir, if you do not believe the Bible is the true Word of God, maybe you should find some other vocation “
This is the sort of thing that drives me nuts, because I am trying to learn the TRUTH. I think this man is a publicity seeking double agent, working for the enemy! He won’t fool me! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
