The Chaplain of the Zoo Staff organized a special showing of a film called ‘Breakthrough’. It was for all the Zoo Staff and keepers, but as the amphitheatre at the Zoo is next door to the Chimpanzee Enclosure, I watched it from my favourite tree.

Appropriately for a film released over Easter, the Christian Commemoration of JESUS’ DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION, ‘Breakthrough’ traces the restoration to life of a young Guatemalan boy who was under icy water for fifteen minutes. The medical team was almost ready to pronounce him dead when his adoptive mother entered the room.
