BIRD BRAIN MYTH
The latest Creation magazine has just arrived at the zoo. I was stirred up by David Catchpoole’s article “Pigeon Revision” which stated that pigeons have been scientifically demonstrated to have more brains than monkeys – or baboons, to be more precise. This is fighting talk, implying the expression “bird brain” is politically incorrect. As a chimpanzee battling to grasp human reasoning, with what DNA download with which I seem to have been so far blessed, it is particularly galling. Incidentally, there is no sign of any of my relations, or progeny, showing increasing evolutionary additions of human traits at this stage, still raising the question in my monkey mind as to whether I am simply a “one off” animal anomaly or a transitional evolutionary specimen.
I recommend the full article to be found at: https://austore.creation.com/subscribe-creation-magazine
To access it you have to subscribe to Creation Magazine, either digital, which is only $19 for a year, or digital and print (full colour magazine, posted within Australia, $32 for a full year).
