BEHOLD THE NEW ABRAHAM ACCORDS

Behold the NEW Abraham Accords
By Bud Hancock
The Abraham Accords were introduced to multiple Middle Eastern nations by POTUS Donald Trump, and signed in Washington DC on September 15, 2020, by the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. The signing indicated that those two nations recognized the nation of Israel and also that they planned to begin normal diplomatic relations with the Jewish State. So far, they are the only two nations to have signed the historic accords.
In the Book of Daniel, chapter 9, verses 21-27, Daniel, was living under the power and control of the Babylonians after Jerusalem has been besieged and most of the Jewish princes and elites had been captured. In this ninth chapter of Daniel, he had been praying to God and confessing the sins of Israel and asking God for wisdom and direction. In this passage of scripture, he is relating the information given to him by the Archangel, Gabriel, describing future events that would unfold and that would greatly affect the Jewish people.
The majority of the words given to Daniel related to the number of years that had been allotted to the Jewish people by God. Daniel 9:26 speaks of the time when the long-awaited Jewish Messiah would be “cut off”, meaning killed, after which, the Temple in the city of Jerusalem would be destroyed by “the people of the prince that shall come” (the Antichrist). According to historical writings, the main part of the Roman army was the Legion X Fretensis (Tenth Roman Legion) which had been stationed in many areas of the Roman Empire, but mainly in Syria and Turkey.
Notice it states, “the prince that shall come”, meaning he will not be seen, nor will anyone know his identity until God determines the time of his appearance. The general time of his appearance is mentioned in the 2nd chapter of 2 Thessalonians wherein the Apostle Paul is comforting the believers in Thessalonica over their concerns that “The Day of Christ” had already occurred. However, the Day of Christ is a time that begins only after the Church is removed from the Earth and taken to heaven to be there eternally with Christ. In 2 Thessalonians verse three, Paul makes it clear that the Day of Christ will not occur until a “falling away” (Greek: apostasia), occurs, being the time when many believers will forsake their salvation and their belief and trust in the Blood of Christ, and turn to other gods. At the height of said apostasy, Antichrist, the “he” mentioned in verse six, will be revealed to the world, but only after the true Church, the “he” that withholdeth, is “taken out of the way”.

At the current time, the presence of the Church on this Earth is the only thing restraining Antichrist from beginning his evil reign for the final seven years of this age. This evil prince will come from the territory of the old Roman Empire, specifically from one of the ten kingdoms that will be formed in the end times from within that empire’s original territory.
Now, the real reason for this article is how that it relates to the present day and to several leaders of our time. In verse 27, we are told that “he” (the Antichrist) “shall confirm the covenant with many for one week, or seven years, that being the final week of the time allotted to the Jewish people. The word “confirm” (Strong’s 1396) is the English translation of the Hebrew word gâbar, pronounced gaw-bar’, a verb meaning to strengthen, to make stronger. It appears from the way the prophet used the word that there is A covenant already in place when the Antichrist appears and that he strengthens or confirms THE covenant, one made with “many”, likely meaning the Jewish people. This covenant then must be one instituted, or put into place, by someone that the Jewish people trust, and given their history of being attacked by all their enemies, Israel would demand that this covenant be made stronger than it was in its original form, something the Antichrist, Satan in the bodily form of a human man, would do in his attempt to deceive the Jewish people into feeling safe and secure in their land.
So the basis of this covenant would be that all Israel’s enemies are forbidden to attack them for the seven years the covenant is in effect. This would certainly be what many have longed for: a future with the ability to relax and disarm, the fear of her enemies having been dispelled by the acceptance of the deceptive covenant.
The original “Abraham Accords” were pushed by POTUS Trump through his envoys to the Middle East, Jared Kushner, his son-in-law, and David Friedman, U.S. Ambassador to Israel, both of whom are Jews. The purpose of the accords was to convince the Arab/Muslim nations surrounding Israel to normalize relations with the Jewish state as a means of promoting a lasting peace in the region.
While only two nations, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, signed the accords at that time, President Trump has now been working diligently to convince the other “unsigned” nations to accept the accords. Trump, in his normal bombastic manner “mandatorily requested” that the nations involved, among whom are diehard Israel haters, including Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia. Being unsure what a “mandatory request” might entail, Trump is a master at using leverage to convince people, even top government leaders to see things his way, and while it seems highly unlikely that these nations would change their stance against Israel and accept these accords, Trump has a way of getting what he wants, especially when/if it means closing a “deal”.
Now before anyone has a hissy about the covenant being discussed here, and claims that said covenant will be started and instituted by the Antichrist, please go back and read Daniel 9:27, where the Archangel Gabriel clearly stated that the covenant will be “confirmed”, NOT started by the Antichrist. That wording should dispel any notion that the Abrahamic Accords covenant now being pushed by Trump shows that Trump may be the Antichrist. Sorry, but based on the scriptural description of the Antichrist, Trump cannot be him. However, based on Trump’s narcissistic behavior, wanting desperately to be the MAN who finally brings peace to the Middle East, thereby cementing his legacy as the quintessential “peacemaker”, Trump simply wants to “make a deal”, whether it truly brings peace or not. His entire life, in the business world before his political life even started, and after he won the presidency and became a master politician, has been about “The Art of the Deal”. And in Trump’s case it seems that the success of his deals lies in the amount of money that has been brought into the Trump family rather than the amount of peace that may be realized in the Middle East.

However, I believe it to be plausible that the covenant now being pushed by Trump, known as the Abrahamic Accords COULD be the beginning of that covenant that will be confirmed by the Antichrist when he makes his appearance on the world stage. The fact that its adoption by most, if not all, of the Middle Eastern nation whose relationship with Israel would be forever changed it they concede to Trump as he has “mandatorily requested”, and sign on to it, makes that claim even more plausible.
Believing, as I do, that we are so much closer to the event known as the Rapture of the Church than most Christians might realize, and also believing that the Abrahamic Accords might be the beginning of the covenant which will be “confirmed”/strengthened by the Antichrist, a covenant that would more or less guarantee the safety and security of the Jewish State of Israel, would dovetail perfectly into the prophetic timeline detailed by the Prophet Daniel; I can accept that the Abraham Accords is the beginning of that covenant. Only time will tell if I am right; meanwhile we must all sit back and wait on GOD’s timeline to unfold before our eyes.
Blessings, and Maranatha!
