WHATEVEREST’S, NEW POLITICAL PARTY
Thanks to Andrew Bolt’s interview with Richard Alston, my attention has been drawn to a new Political Party.
This party is comprised of a group of non-thinking “post-modernist*” people known as “What-Everests”. Apparently, this title springs from the post-modernist habit of replying to almost any question that one does not comprehend with the comment, “Oh, whatever!” Thus they should immediately be re-named the, “Oh, What-Everest Party”.
Before some pedant picks me up for using “Everest” and not “Everist”, this new breed considers itself as intellectually exalted. So I thought that “Everest” was a sufficiently exalted position for them. (Hopefully, they will soon expire from oxygen depletion.)
*Post-modernists consider truth to be “Whatever!”

With deepest respect my dear chugley, can’t you understand that for us mere mortals with immense wisdom we really don’t give a rip! We have now had so much learning that our minds fail us. What a shame Jesus was so intent on truth and missed our greater wisdom?
Cannot help but think this is tongue in cheek Peter. You must realise that as an evolving Chimp I do not have a huge respect for the human wisdom quotient and your ability to reason. I am also mindful that you crucified Jesus Christ and still fail to grasp who He is, even thought He has risen from the dead, as exhaustively recorded in the Bible.
Enjoy seeing through a glass darkly!
Gibber gibber,
Thank you Chugley for reminding me that Jesus did die and rise again for us humans, which the holy scriptures tell us is foolish to those who don’t believe, the greatest of wisdom. No wonder so much of human wisdom seems foolish to you, probably foolish to Jesus as well. Lots of bananas to you tonight.
Thank you Peter, and apologies for apparent delay in reply which seems to be due to some electronic glitches. Humankind does seem to have an inexhaustible capacity for self delusion in spite of the truth knocking on the door. I think Winston Churchill said that “Sometimes men (and I assume also women) stumble across the truth and pick themselves up, and carry on as if nothing has happened. Gibber gibber
