When I began to comprehend the truth about the horrible events of the End Times, I shook my head in disbelief that the Devil would be able to lead the majority of people away from God and to worship Him. I always thought at least the people I knew would never succumb to such blatant lies, that they were too smart to be so deceived by Satan.
Sadly, I can see now how such deception will occur after the Church is removed and the Antichrist assumes world power. In Matthew 24:4, Jesus told His disciples, “Take heed that no man deceive you,” and to “take heed” means to pay attention and to be careful. The thrust of this week’s news handouts is how the whole world has been, and is being, deceived by those in positions of power. Over 200 world leaders have been trained and launched into service to destroy the way of life as we have known it and to usher in the New World Order!

Such timely words of Pastor Wayne to remind us to “take care that no man deceive you”. This implies we must know how to recognise those things that might “deceive” us…and this can only come through God’s Word….our “light” to reveal the true and straight path for future days, and our “lamp” for knowing what behaviour and attitude honours God today.
Being familiar with the truths and principles for living found in God’s Word, we can more easily discern the various deceptions in this world, and avoid being deceived.
