We are not blind to the immediate, material benefit to the NSW Liberal Democrats of a member in the chamber, an office and two full-time staff and, by the rorts of incumbency, an annual cash allowance for party administration costs.For some perspective, the result represents a 62% increase on the party’s result in the 2022 NSW Senate race and an even greater advance on the NSW State Election in 2019.  Ironically, after securing both Liberal and National Party preferences at #2 statewide for the first time, we have been comfortably elected without the benefit of any preference flows because of the way the quotas filled, securing victory at #19 out of 21 vacant spots (with Shooters, Fishers and Farmers winning #20 and Rachel Merton scraping over the line just ahead of Animal Justice to give the Liberal Party #21 and seven in total.  One of the great things about the result for John Ruddick and the Party is…

I am aware that some people might be turned off by my ‘anti-politician’ demeanor, but in my lifetime I have learned much, especially about politics in general, and politicians in particular. I am also attaching, separately, my definition of politics that you and your readers might find useful.  I’m quite certain there is very little difference between politics here and in Australia.  Use that definition as you see fit. I observe Australians staggering like drunken sailors, trying to comprehend the stupidity of their overall election choice of leader. Case in point is the rise of Nazism. In the 1928 German elections, the Nazis received 2.6% of the vote. In 1930, a year after the 1929 Wall Street crash, the Nazis received 18.3% of the vote. By November 1932, at the height of the Great Depression, the Nazis were the dominant party with 33.1% of the vote. What we are now witnessing in the U.S. (and Australia? Chugley) is planned chaos to lay the foundation for “revolution.” That is, the Biden regime wishes to impose a global one-party totalitarian state, a retrograde hybrid governance model combining the most tyrannical aspects of the Chinese Communist Party and the World Economic Forum, in which there are no nations, but only land and people to exploit.
