UNCHAINED GENIUS
I am very busy today. I had a positive report from the vet, yesterday, who thinks I am quite sprightly for my age. Thanks for your concerns.
A well loved member of the zoo asked Mrs Chugley to research the song Unchained Melody which she wants performed at her upcoming Birthday lunch. Everyone knows that the Righteous Brother(s) performed the best known version, but a Google search found this version by the king himself, Elvis Presley. We were both struck by Elvis’ performance. He is almost at the end of his life here. The ravages of “substance abuse”, as you humans euphemistically describe sinful over-indulgence, (I believe this also included a penchant for doughnuts) are very evident. We thought that in spite of that, God’s overwhelming gift that he gave to this Son shone through all these failings, and gave new breadth to understanding of the meaning of the Biblical statement:
Romans 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
What a message of hope you all have. It makes me feel like evolving some more.

Dear Chugley. A question: The Unchained Melody could be the Unfinished Symphony, which got away. Oh well, it is hot and I am not very well. Sorry
I hope you feel better than Elvis looked singing that song Milton! Thanks for bothering to follow my Blog with sharp wit and humour! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
