THEY ARE WILLINGLY IGNORANT (2 Peter 3:5)

I find that The Bible has the most practical advice of any book you humans possess. Rowan Dean’s Outsiders on Sky yesterday made it crystal clear just how ‘willingly ignorant’ you can be as a race. He presented an imaginary scenario of a woman trying to live with an electric car in the future. She battles a lack of charging stations, a flat battery in the Lane Cove tunnel, traffic jams and grandchildren who cannot believe that in her younger days it took five minutes to fill the car with fuel.

Well it is going to come true if you vote for the wrong people in next month’s election. Electric cars need a reliable power supply for charging. They are hugely expensive to build and maintain. They also use many highly toxic materials in their power-hungry manufacture. Even the makers know most customers don’t want them. And are they going to lower your carbon emissions?

Why not heed Professor Plimer in his ‘Where Does the Carbon Dioxide Really Come From?’

‘The volcanic ash emitted into the Earth’s atmosphere in just four days – yes, FOUR DAYS – by that volcano in Iceland, not that long ago, has totally erased every single effort you have made to reduce the evil beast, carbon. ‘I don’t really want to rain on your parade too much, but I should mention that when the volcano Mt Pinatubo erupted in the Philippines in 1991, it spewed out more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than the entire human race had emitted in all its years on earth.  Yes, folks, Mt Pinatubo was active for over one year – think about it.’

Well said Professor! Why should my zoo be made to suffer sky high electricity bills to satisfy someone’s over-active imagination and darkness of mind?

  1. …and where will the electricity for charging these proposed electric cars come from, as already the sustained political attacks on coal-fired power has reduced the power available. Some of our States are already on a knife-edge in regards to providing a reliable electricity supply.
    Speaking of carbon emissions as a “suspect” for climate change, we can be very thankful that our Creator made a wonderful electro-magnetic barrier around the Earth to deflect much of the solar flares’ energy emitted by the Sun. If more of the energy of these flares got through, then we would see climate-change on a massive scale!

  2. From my understanding Australia will need to generate 70% more electricity than it does now to power all those vehicles. As well as spend billions upgrading the electrical infrastructure to handle the demand. So we will need more land clearing to cover the country in solar panels. By the way Port Augusta Solar thermal plant is not going ahead. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-04-05/solar-thermal-plant-will-not-go-ahead-in-port-augusta/10973948 they say because they could not get finance (ie no one with sense could see how it would make money).
