The self-appointed modern “Sun King”, Emmanuel Macron, seems to have adopted a similarly regal approach as the extravagant Louis XIV. (See picture above). As a result the excitable French have plunged his approval ratings to the low 20% region in recent polls. Who would have believed that, in 2018, rioting French protesters would be lighting fires in the streets of Paris, shouting for President Trump to lead them into energy sense? Have humans learned no sense since the 1700’s?

Maybe the Global Warming debacle is just beginning to heat up. I wonder if Scott Morrison can find a crown to trump Macron’s as he stubbornly hangs on to the Paris agreement?
