THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES?
As an evolving chimpanzee who is interested in the institutions of human government, I am intrigued by the Australian Federal Parliament’s ‘House of Representatives‘.
I understand that over forty percent of the population who chose to voice their opinion in the recent plebiscite did not want the definition of Marriage changed.
In a House of 150 members who ‘represent‘ the electorates of Australia, isn’t 40% of the ‘representatives’ 60 members?
On 7th December, only Four members represented those 40%.
Four solitary men!
Four courageous men who braved one of the fiercest foes – political correctness!
Four – not sixty!
Less than 5% of the members!
Perhaps it is the ‘House of Misrepresentatives’!
Gibber! Gibber!

Hi Chugley,
The photo above of the members seems to display a little more on the common sense side of mthem debate of the enabling rules. Regards,
