Across a supposed evolutionary history of over two billion years, seabed sulfur bacteria haven’t changed
My favourite magazine arrived last week – Creation, featuring a Tapir. Now there’s a strange creature! Then this morning Creation.com sent me an amazing article, which I just had to share with you.
In a pronouncement that makes the Orwellian black-is-white ‘doublethinking’ Newspeak of the ‘Ministry of Truth’1 seem tame by comparison: evidence of a lack of evolution is proclaimed as evidence for evolution! Here’s the exact wording from one science news outlet:
“An international team of scientists has discovered the greatest absence of evolution ever reported—a type of deep-sea microorganism that appears not to have evolved over more than 2 billion years. But the researchers say that the organisms’ lack of evolution actually supports Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution

Dear Chugley. At last, they, the evolutionists have shot themselves in the foot, so to speak. Would I be right in thinking, if this SULFUR BACTERIA STASIS did not evolve and it was not created, then it isn’t. Or have I missed something?

Great comments made, but for the sake of balance, I’ll take a “devil’s advocate” position. Perhaps these evolutionists are concluding “no change confirms evolution” in the sense that adaptation and natural selection aren’t happening because the environment and organism have found perfect homeostasis. I suspect the environment of the deep sea floor would remain pretty stable over millennia, unlike the land where environmental factors can change more profoundly. Assuming the deep sea environment changed, then the organism would need to adapt and the fittest would survive. Just saying…!!

Dear Chugley,
“Lack of change = proof of evolution” But wait! This does not seem right! Send billions $$$$ of taxpayers money so that this can be investigated.
But, wait again. This process is alive and well in China. China’s reporting on the Hong Kong demonstrations is that it is only a small criticism by foreigners and that the supporters of the Beijing line are the prevailing opinion.
