SCHONKY SCHONFIELD
One of your daily prayer publications draws attention to Hugh J. Schonfield’s book “The Passover Plot”, which attempts to disprove the truth of the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. He tries to suggest that Jesus just swooned on the cross. Even any first year monkey Bible student must know that that is an impossible supposition. Apart from the thrust to His side from the spear of the Roman Centurion, releasing blood and water, the grave clothes would have smothered Him during the three days in the tomb. Also, what about the huge stone sealed over the entrance to the tomb? This was impossible for a fully fit man of a gorilla type of physique to budge let alone someone who had endured a Roman crucifixion.
I cannot improve on what a well known Bible commentator stated:
In spite of the fact that the Bible records “many infallible proofs of Christ’s Resurrection, skeptics still refuse to believe it. The problem isn’t with the evidence—it’s with humanity’s rebellious heart.”
Jesus himself said in Luke 16:31 “If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.”
No, the problem isn’t the evidence!
Christ came to earth as the God-man to die in your place and be raised to eternal life. If this monkey can grasp it, why can’t you? I really think at this time I am better to stay in my zoo!

Any lie to sell a book! The dollar is king!

Spot on comment, Chugley! Doubt and skepticism is part of our nature….and sometimes that can be a good thing. That great recount of the disciple Thomas saying he wouldn’t believe in the risen Jesus unless he had tangible proof tells us that, when he touched the risen Jesus, he believed. It’s the next bit that is interesting, that tells me what Jesus thought of Thomas’s and our doubting, when He said…(John 20:29) “Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
Many will not believe, but those who do believe are “blessed”. Ours is a blessed life of “faith”!
Thanks Paul. Appreciate the comment, sometimes its hard being a monkey…Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
Good morning Chugley. Please forward the following to Hugh J. Schonfield’s, write of “The Passover Plot”. “Dear Sir, people like you, may never be persuaded that you are wrong. Then when you and I die, if you are right, no problem. BUT if you are wrong, then you are in a heap of trouble, putting it mildly. “
I shall pass that on with pleasure, it just may do the trick and prompt him to look into the TRUTH further? But there are none so blind as those who cannot see… Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
