ROWAN DEAN CHALLENGED BY A CHIMP!
As followers of Rowan Dean’s ‘The Outsiders’ programme on ‘Sky’ will know, Rowan and his co-hosts are admirers of the Late Baroness Margaret Thatcher. But are they aware that she was a sincere Christian? Witness her following speech:
“I think back to many discussions in my early life when we all agreed that if you try to take the fruits of Christianity without its roots, the fruits will wither. And they will not come again unless you nurture the roots. But we must not profess the Christian faith and go to Church simply because we want social reforms and benefits or a better standard of behaviour; but because we accept the sanctity of life, the responsibility that comes with freedom and the supreme sacrifice of Christ expressed so well in the hymn by Sir Isaac Watts:
When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of glory died,
My richest gain I count but loss,
And pour contempt on all my pride”
This Chimp thinks the hosts of ‘Outsiders’ should explore the truth of Christianity more – it is only fair to the indomitable former Prime Minister!

The Iron Lady did not have a heart of stone but a heart of flesh.
Thank you Greg! That would seem evident. I am interested to see if Rowan Dean gets involved in Chimp business! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
Interesting that the Iron Lady observed (paraphrased) that we cannot enjoy the fruits Christianity has provided, without also taking its roots….otherwise, those fruits quickly wither.
Seems to me this is the plight of our western nations. We have been enjoying the “fruits” of the Biblical principles of democracy, justice, equality, sacrifice and morality for many generations of Bible-based believers…but we are no longer paying attention to the “roots” of faith and obedience to our Holy God. So…the fruits are withering. Moral decay is our lot.
Well said Paul. My studies show you are correct! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
