ROSS CAMERON’S WRECKONINGS
My poor bemused monkey mind is thoroughly shaken, I thank God for Ross Cameron, Rowan Dean and Miranda Devine for straightening it out. I recently discovered that the headmistress of exclusive Catholic girl’s school, Santa Sabina, in the Sydney suburb of Strathfield, has been Tweeting her support for a gender bending book called “Gender Reckonings” by Raewyn Connell and others. What confuses me is why a Christianity supporting Catholic School headmistress, Dr. Maree Herret by name, would be touting such radical, anti-christian philosophies. Apparently many of the children’s parents think the same – hundreds are considering leaving Santa Sabina.
I do hope these people do not become involved with zoo management, Mrs Chugley is quite happy as she is, I certainly don’t want to see her gender confused. Maybe they might consider me for a place on the school board? If they accept evolution, why not? They might call it monkey bending business.
Gibber! Gibber!

You may well ask; “Why would a Christianity supporting Catholic School headmistress, Dr. Maree Herret by name, would be touting such radical, anti-christian philosophies”?
Ah, well, maybe because Roman Catholicism is simply warmed over Mithraism and not Christian at all?
My monkey mind is not quite up to comprehending this most profound theological comment from the good Dr Eisenstein, indeed these, to me obscure comments, is partly why I find my theological studies so challenging to grasp – Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
If I had a daughter at Santa Sabina, I’d also consider withdrawing her on the grounds that the ethos/ culture of the school emanates from the “Head”, and in this case, the Head’s thinking is “depraved” according to Romans 1, verse 28. Like Chugley, I’d never heard of Mithraism, but a quick google said this – “The Mithraic Mysteries, also known as Mithraism, were a mystery cult in the Roman world where followers worshipped the Indo-Iranian deity Mithras (Akkadian for “contract”) as the god of friendship, contract and order.” I’m not sure what Mithraism has to do with the Roman Catholic church though…or gender bending.
I think we must rely on Dr. Roger Eisenstein to enlighten us, Paul, as to the connection between Mithraism and Roman Catholicism, or gender bending. My studies have not yet revealed this to me. Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
