POODLE PONDERINGS
I always wondered if Poodles were really dogs. Consider the wolf, it is an original dog. The effeminate pampered pooch known as a Poodle, would hardly make a snack lunch for Mr Wolf. My research suggests that all dogs are of the “dog kind”, and came from an original “dog pair” or perhaps two pairs. They did not “evolve” from some other type of creature. It seems more likely that a Poodle came about through carefully breeding together dogs with certain shared characteristics. If you want another poodle, don’t breed it with a Great Dane. Seems “simples” to me, as the meerkat says on the ad. I don’t think there were poodles on the ark, nor punk Chimps for that matter. (I don’t think that Noah would have allowed it.)
So what? You might say. Well to someone like me, struggling to fully grasp the Creation/Evolution debate, it is a valid pondering point, and I like to share my musings.

The Thinking Chimp

I agree that a “dog is a dog is a dog….” and there are variations on that “dog” genome as manipulated by Man. As scientists discover more about the blueprint of life that is in genes/ DNA, let’s hope that no wayward (immoral) scientist attempts to do some genetic splicing to create some sad freak of an animal that will have a doomed (short?) life.
Fair comment Paul, maybe some mad scientist will try and expedite Chimp “evolution”? A scary thought! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
