PACKER IN ISRAEL?
James Packer has apparently bought a house, in a gated security village, in Caesarea, Israel, next door to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Caesarea is a town on Israel’s Mediterranean coast, the picture above gives you an idea.
It was built by Herod the great. It’s known for Caesarea National Park, which includes a large Roman amphitheater and the historic port. On the site is an archaeological park with pillars and sculptures, and the remains of a hippodrome, with frescoes and stone seating. The ruins of the seafront Promontory Palace include the remains of a mosaic floor.
James has reportedly said that Israel, “Is the most fascinating country I have ever visited.” I wonder if this signals a change in beliefs for Jamie, who was known for his devotion to Scientology as a result of his friendship with Tom Cruise? He dropped out of Scientology, and had a very bumpy ride through life for some years afterwards.
Could it be that an interest in Israel may lead him to study the Life of the Lord Jesus Christ? And maybe, discover His reality?
Perhaps someone can tell me what is going on in the Middle East?
- Donald Trump has pulled a small band of U.S. troops out of Syria.
- Turkey has attacked their allies, the Kurds.
- Iran is making ever more violent threats.
- Israel’s Government is in a shambles, but is preparing for war with Iran.
The Bible tells me that THE LORD ‘will gather all nations, and will bring them down into The Valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for My People and for My Heritage Israel, whom They have scattered among the Nations and parted MY Land’ (Joel 3:2).
James Packer may find more than the excitement he is looking for?

When I hear of such disarray and scheming surrounding Israel, it is tempting to wonder, “How close is The End?”
Still, Jesus Himself encourages believers, of which I think you are one, Chugley! He says in Matthew 24, verse 6…”Don’t panic or give in to your fears, for the breaking apart of the world’s systems is destined to happen….” (The Passion Translation)
I agree Paul! I am still enjoying munching on my bananas! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
