MICHELLE ROWS THE BOAT ASHORE – HALLELUJAH!
Amidst gloomy and distressing news this week a morning star shone bright. A former banker, now turned massage therapist, 46 year-old Michelle Lee from Kellyville, a north-west Sydney suburb, completed a 4,700 kilometre row across the Atlantic from the Canary Islands to the West Indies in a boat about eight metres long. It took her about ten weeks, and included diving overboard, to scrape the boats bottom clean of barnacles, five times! Sometimes in water around 5,000 metres deep.
This monkey wonders how he could possibly evolve into a similarly determined and courageous being. This singular achievement stirs memories of Herb Elliott and Douglas Mawson. By the way, Michelle was first solo woman rower to cross the finish line. Pretty good for someone who only took up rowing two years ago!

I guess words like “initiative”, “purpose”, “ambition/ drive”, “vision/ plan” don’t mean much to you yet, eh Chugley!!? The Creator imbued only humanity with qualities such as these, as they are part of His pro-active character…part of His “image”.
Yes, you have hit it on the head Paul, I keep wondering how can I “evolve” all these extra attributes! You understand my dilemma better than most! Thanks, Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
