LUNAR – TICKED OFF!
I am really enjoying this book DISMANTLING THE BIG BANG, by Williams and Hartnett. I have found another gem of information on page 157, Professor Robert Jastrow, colleague of Professor Harold Urey (pictured in heading image), dubbed the “father of lunar science” – a pioneer in organising the Apollo missions to the moon, remarked that Urey stated: “It is easier to pretend the moon is not in the sky than to explain how it came to be there”. That makes my ignorance positively palatable!

I find it bemusing, as an amateur onlooker, to see the twists and gyrations of intellectual theorising by secular scientists about our “beginnings”. Too often these theories/ ideas seem so absurd…so “out there”, when for those of belief and faith in a Creator, it seems so easy to simply marvel in awe at the beauty, complexity, variety, order and the breath of life in His handiwork, and simply say “Almighty God did it”! What a wonderful foundation that would be for scientists to then explore the intricacies of Creation!
Thanks Paul. Very succinctly expressed as usual, if I might say so! It is very hard for me, an apparently evolving Chimp, to plow through all this diversity of human opinions about origins and decide who is right? Maybe I’m not related to you after all? But why am I here with half a download? I agree with you, only the supreme being called God, Jehovah and other names above all names, in the Bible, and His Son Jesus Christ, can answer every question. People are so convinced they are right, they scoff their way to oblivion denying the TRUTH and following “strange myths”. Maybe I am here for a reason – but I’m not to reason why! Whaddya reckon?
