KRIS KRISTOFFERSON Part Two

You will recall last week I shared a Kris Kristofferson song with you, called The Pilgrim. That song was a type of anthem to the spiritual “lostness” of the 1960’s and 1970’s. This week Kris tells how he came to Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and wrote another smash hit – Why Me Lord? His life was profoundly changed.

I am looking forward to my tutorial today with my keeper.

  2. Interesting to see Willy Nelson playing/ singing beside Kris Kristofferson. I didn’t know Willy had “spiritual” inclinations. Maybe he enjoys the music side of these spiritual songs.
    Anyway, a thoughtful testimony.

    1. Thanks Paul. Willie is a believing Christian, but could probably do with a brush up course or two on the finer points. He is now 82, and doing around 150 concerts a year, I believe. Not mush time for anything else – except sleeping probably. Gibber! Gibber! Chugley

  3. I appreciate reading the background to this song, which I had heard before, but did not realize its significance. Yes, and Willy Nelson??

    1. Thanks Don. Willie Nelson is a Christian believer, but I don’t think he was taught very well. He is 82 now, and still performing. He should attend some CMI meetings and sharpen up his faith. Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
