I NEVER KISSED PARIS GOODBYE!
When I was resident in the London Zoo, I met the authoress of a book entitled I Never Kissed Paris Goodbye. (Madeleine Masson was a prolific writer better known for her biography of Lady Edwina Mountbatten, titled Edwina.)
One wonders whether the prime minister will ever ‘kiss the Paris Agreement goodbye’.
Will the new leader of The Liberal Party (if Mr Turnbull loses the leadership,) bid the Paris Agreement ‘Au Revoir’?
Or will Australia ‘always have Paris’ – and nothing else?
Gibber! Gibber!
CHUGLEY The Despairing Chimp
P.S. If a seasoned Labor numbers man like Graham Richardson states that Tony Abbott is the only man who can defeat Labor, and a convalescing chimpanzee can see that he is the rightful leader of The Liberal Party, why can’t the present parliamentary members of the Liberal Party restore him to the leadership?

I’m presently reading a book by Dr Michael Youssef. One bit explains that as our western “Christian” societies become more secular…including impotent churches…, so we are separating ourselves from the moral precepts that previously guided and formed us. He says…”If we in the church do not live out godliness in our own lives and if we do not demand godliness from our leaders, then we will get the leaders we deserve. We will get the government we deserve. God will “give us over” to the consequences of our own ungodliness”. He bases that thought on Romans 1:24 which says…”God gave them over to the sinful desires of their hearts”. Much of our political shambles in recent years may be well explained by Dr Youssef’s thought above!!
