‘HE TOUCHES THE HILLS AND THEY SMOKE….’

 

Residents of the Islands of Hawaii are being assaulted. Rocks ranging in size from microwave ovens to refrigerators are being hurled to altitudes of more than thirty thousand feet above the tropical paradise. (Airline pilots should take note. Such rocks impacting a jet aircraft are problematic. Indeed, they are listed as “an aviation hazard”.) These forces, usually restrained peacefully within the earth, certainly grab this monkey’s attention as they erupt.

I wonder if my readers have considered the amount of carbon dioxide that such eruptions emit? Surely it makes a nonsense of Man’s puerile belief that he can control “emissions” by establishing a “Paris Agreement” between mere mortals.

Just try muzzling this firestorm! Fire and acid rain are falling from this terrifying volcano Mt Kilauea as the lava falls into the ocean. No simple legislation will quell this monster – only the One who once said, “Peace, be still” (Mark 4:39b).

  1. I’m watching the behaviour of this volcano closely, as we’ll be both flying over and staying in Honolulu in a week’s time! Like you Chugley, I’ve often thought how ridiculous is Man’s attempt to reduce CO2 emissions when the natural sources of these emissions far outweighs any amount we put out. I think it’s all a smokescreen for the UN to transfer some of the West’s wealth to developing and Third world nations.
