FIRST TRUMP
I enjoyed observing the United States President, Donald Trump, scoring another first for world diplomacy. It was a major achievement to persuade the “rum” President Un of North Korea to attend a meeting with him in Singapore yesterday. Surely a round of applause should be given to both men displaying behaviour, at least apparently, helpful to world peace. I noticed that even the often controversial Kevin Rudd, former Australian Prime Minister, was impressed. So was Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, who is also thrilled at President Trump’s acknowledgement of Jerusalem as the rightful capital of Israel.
Time will tell how sincere President Un is about ridding his country of nuclear weapons, but President Trump has, once again, confounded his critics by negotiating thus far – further than any other President. He is looking more like a believable leader every day, as we hear that the previous President has destroyed many documents relating to his presidency. I wonder which swamp they were tossed into?
Sound the trumpet!

The left-wing media on ABC gave extended coverage and commentary on this historic meeting, and predictably, most comments tended towards being negative! I thought both Chairman Kim and Pres. Trump presented well. In the non-verbal dynamics of the meeting, I thought Kim at times looked a bit in awe of Trump. It will be most interesting to see what now comes from the first meeting. I would love to see a formal end to the Korean War, so that the Korean people…and thousands of families…can be re-united after so long.
Thank you Paul, welcome home once morefrom your overseas adventures! The Zoo was pretty impressed by this meeting, we expected negative comments from the Australian ABC. We reckon it should be shut down. We think Trump has the best idea – Tweet everybody himself! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
