FANCY THAT! EGGSACTLY!
I was reading some of Dr. Jonathan Sarfati’s observations from his book The Genesis Account concerning the age of the earth, and why it is considered much younger than the generally accepted “millions of years”. (pages: 134-136). Available from www.creation.com
1. Soft still stretchy tissues, cells and proteins are now found in dinosaur fossils that should, by physical laws, have decayed long ago if they were millions of years old.
2. Coal and Diamond often contain carbon-14, but this decays so quickly that it would be undetectable in much less than a million years.
- see comment (in my comment section) from Don Batten, CEO of Creation Ministries
3. Salt in the ocean is accumulating far too rapidly to embrace an age of millions of years.
4. “Flat Gaps”: smooth boundary lines between geological layers shows that there has been no time for significant erosion between such layers allegedly separated by millions of years.
5. Mutations in humans and other “higher” creatures are accumulating so rapidly that they (and we) would have become extinct in well under 100,000 years.
It bothers my monkey mind that, if you humans cannot agree on such simple evidence for a young earth, how, on this earth are you going to run a logical and effective Government? No wonder you have kids smashing eggs on politician’s heads!

“Coal and Diamond often contain carbon-14…”
Actually, AFIIK, no coal or diamond has ever been found that does not have carbon-14 above background levels. Because of the ubiquity of ‘deep time’ it was expected that no carbon-14 would be found in any coal, and such was sought as a ‘blank’ (zero C14) for processing samples for carbon dating. There should definitely be none in diamonds, which supposedly formed ‘billions of years ago’, and cannot be contaminated with C14 after they are made (the crystal structure does not allow it).
Thank you Don. Your teaching really transformed this monkey! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
“Soft still stretchy tissues, cells and proteins are now found in dinosaur fossils that should, by physical laws, have decayed long ago if they were millions of years old.”
Just as an aside…it would seem from this description of dinosaur tissue that their DNA might still be active. I wonder if any biologists have attempted cloning?
I think that was the idea behind the film Jurassic Park, but I don’t think it is possible in reality – like evolution! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
