‘DEVINE’ INSPIRATION
Miranda Devine shows good monkey sense, to my monkey mind, when she fires a broadside at Lt Gen Angus Campbell, AO, DSC, the newly appointed army head. Miranda points out that this, presumably fearless, Australian soldier is sending mixed messages when he says he is going to ban the army from wearing Death’s head symbols. She further points out that the army allows the wearing of rainbow pins. Next they’ll probably say the title of army ranks must be changed to be more “inclusive”. This is the slippery slope you lot have embarked on. The Anzacs would choke on their biscuits, no doubt, and the Kiwis would fear the Haka will get the chop as “too war-like……….” Pass me a banana wine please, while I work this out.
Gibber! Gibber!

Dear Chugley,
The armed forces have been in real dilemma mode for the last 5 – 10 years in the allocation of training resources. On one hand the participation of the Armed forces in the Gay Mardi Gras and the etiquette that is required. On the other hand training for combating an invasion force from North Korea following Kim Jong-Un getting his bottom smacked either by the Trump Team or the China team for letting the US forces be at the border with China.
My advice dear Chugley, is to keep sipping the banana wine. More sense is likely to emanate from that source rather than the head of army office.
Cheers!
I saw Miranda interviewed on this issue on Channel 9 this morning. She is such a breath of fresh air/common sense! In a battle situation, these masks would have a fearsome impact on the enemy, I should think…and so give a little more psychological advantage. Next thing is the PC lefties will object to the Army ranks “Major” and “Captain” as being elitist and discriminatory!
Yes, it is so confusing to an evolving Chimp like me, not to mention Mrs Chugley. Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
A never ending swamp, as President Trump would describe it! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley
