MR RUDDICK – YOU “MYTHED” THE MARK!
Mr John Ruddick,
Dear Sir,
May I respectfully say that I have a great admiration for you, and your political insights expressed on The Outsiders. Your grasp of the Liberal Party – both at Federal and State level is ever helpful – top of the tree! I was also pleased to hear you refer people, quite rightly, in my opinion, to The Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5: 1 – 8: 1)by Jesus of Nazareth. You stated that it was the wisest advice ever given to humanity.
What amazed me was that you then said that the latter part of the history of Jesus was a “myth”. The whole Judaeo-Christian belief system is not founded on a myth – It is THE TRUTH.
As an evolving (apparently) chimpanzee, I am vitally interested in this matter. If Jesus is not the Son of God and did not rise from the dead, then I will stay in my zoo. What hope has humanity if Jesus did not bring eternal life?
My studies indicate that Jesus was the Son of God and did rise from the dead. According to the enemy of the early Christians, Paul of Tarsus, there were over 500 eyewitnesses to His resurrection over a period of 40 days (1 Corinthinians 15:6).
May I recommend a book by Josh McDowell, Evidence That Demands A Verdict?
A Warning. Those who have sincerely tried to prove that Jesus’ Resurrection is a myth have often ended up being staunch believers.
Keep up the righteous work of advocating for the pre-eminence of the individual human being and not the tyranny of the powerful.
Gibber! Gibber!
