Today is special training day with Keeper Barry and assistant keeper Paul. I am an aviation enthusiast and particularly enjoy watching the British Avro Vulcan perform. Here she is in all her glory and trade mark howl flying at Old Warden. Gibber! Gibber! Chugley The Flying Chimp
I was astonished to hear Cory Bernardi stating on Television that he was quitting Parliament. Not long ago Cory pulled the plug on the party he founded, Australian Conservatives, after it bombed at the polls. Cory stated that this was mainly due to the departure of Malcolm Turnbull, the left wing socialist leaning Prime Minister, who knifed Tony Abbott, was himself overthrown. This meant that the left wing threat was not as critical to address. Be that as it may, it does not inspire this Chimp to fully “evolve” any time soon and try to join such an unsatisfactory, and…
I have been invited to a bush fire survival celebration breakfast this morning. I therefore share with you one of my favourite songs by the Happy Goodmans. Please enjoy! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley The Tuneful Chimp
I give thanks for Rowan Dean and his intrepid fellow Outsiders, James Morrow and Rita Panahi. How would we otherwise know about the ridiculous extremes to which your climate zealots aspire? Now they are trying to ban Bunnings from holding sausage sizzles! This is an extension of the barmy notion that eating meat leads to accelerating climate change. Where will this madness end? If the zoo goes vegetarian that will be the end of us. I would not like to be near a lion who has been deprived of his daily serving of meat. Nor many of the other animals,…
Yesterday Keeper Barry returned to our training session but has delegated the next two sessions to Assistant Keeper Paul. We covered some of the proofs that there is a God. The top six are as follows: The Universe must have a “cause”. Citing the beginning as a “singularity” is meaningless, untenable, untestable and illogical. The Universe demands a Designer. It is not chaotic and random. Life demands a Supernatural Living Creator. There is no such thing as “Bio -Genesis” capable of being observed. Moral Law demands a Moral Law-giver. Free will exists. (Even a Chimp is free to choose bananas…
After many demonstrations of extreme heroism, the zoo and its nearby village have survived a terrifying firestorm over the last few days. Some brave people across the state have lost their lives; some were badly injured and burned. I therefore include a rendering of the haunting notes of ‘The Last Post’ in honour of the Warriors of the Bush Fires in Australia. All the inmates of the zoo are fit and well. The zoo was just a bit singed around the edges, and some of the trees are pink from fire retardant. We are rejoicing that a miracle of preservation…
My Blog posts are suspended until further notice for reasons beyond my control! Gibber! Gibber! Chugley The Frustrated Chimp
I was reading my magazines and came upon this article by Brian Davis and Andrew Miller, part of an article entitled Was Charles Darwin Rational? It explained the unlikely occurrence of monkeys turning into humans. It sure puzzled me. I seem to be more of a freak than I thought. What do you think? Please, keep your comments polite! The Human Genome Project has determined that a genetic mutation of one billionth of a genome is fatal. Out of the 3.6 billion human base pairs, a random change in just three is fatal, and zero offspring are produced. Evolutionists say…
In my research for yesterdays post, I stumbled across this poem by Banjo Paterson about the horse Pardon. He won another cup, not the Melbourne Cup, which explains why I could not find him listed in the winners. Keeper Paul is teaching us this morning, I believe it is about Creation and Evolution, my favourite subject. This poem makes another different reading by “Banjo” Paterson. Gibber! Gibber! Chugley The Poetic Chimp
