Demonstrations For Freedom From Chinese Tyranny

My older readers may remember an advertising sign high above Kings Cross, Sydney, in the 1980’s? It read: “You’d have to be Bonkers not to go via Honkers!”

At present, you would be ill-advised to visit Hong Kong as its residents fight for their very lives against the ever-encroaching and repressive Mainland Chinese Communist Government.

To gain an understanding of the reasons why the second biggest economy in the world is not content with its wealth and riches but desires to deny its citizens the right to individualism of thought and faith, one could go no further than listening to and reading the insights of Anastasia Lin, a former Chinese citizen who, with her mother, migrated to Canada and was chosen as Miss Canada Beauty Queen in 2015. Such is the truth of her understanding of the present Chinese Regime that Anastasia was refused entry to China for the Miss World Final causing her name to become famous overnight.

Yesterday, the top-rating television programme on Sky, ‘The Outsiders’ featured the articulate and lovely Miss Lin. Her courage reminds one of the beautiful Queen Esther, who saved her people, the Jews, from destruction under Haman in the days of the Persian Empire.

One can only tremble for the plight of the citizens of Hong-Kong as the Western World, which has sold its soul to the industrious and diligent Chinese, cowers in fear, apart from a very few courageous leaders.

You humans are truly flawed! Why does the wealthy Chinese Government have to totally subjugate all its people? Another Tiananmen Square Massacre seems possible. Besides being Stalinist in its approach to dissenters, one would think that the destruction of Hong Kong’s wealth by the Chinese regime was an economically retrograde step.

Perhaps, China’s leaders should look at the wise and benevolent Persian ruler, Cyrus, who allowed all the citizens of his mighty empire to hold their individual beliefs.

Truly, the words, ‘Nation shall rise against Nation, and Kingdom against Kingdom’ (Matthew 24: 7) are true!

  1. China is an enigmatic, Jekyll and Hyde nation. The people are so industrious and motivated to succeed…and many have earned their riches; dozens have attained billionaire status with all the material trappings. Yet the government is paranoid about maintaining control…and by using brutal means, where necessary. I agree with Chugley that the Chinese government would be considering a brutal crackdown on the democracy-seekers as one of their options. A strange creature is China!

  2. Dear Chugley. It would seem that China is prepared to “cut off it’s nose, to save it’s face”. And the Chinese have always been regarded as clever people. This one does not seem to back that up. We pray that it does not become tragic. An introduction to King Cyrus would be wonderful.
