I get the impression from the rate at which armaments are pouring into the Middle East area that something big is about to erupt. I am a student of belief systems, and it seems to me the media in general is missing something important. No big surprise that this is so, after all they failed to predict a Morrison win in Australia’s recent election. Let me enlighten you from what I have read. The followers of Islam believe that the Mahdi will return to bring peace to a troubled world. They also believe that he will return in the company of Jesus Christ. Could it be that they believe that the more trouble they cause, the sooner the Mahdi will return? I wonder what my esteemed readers think. These things are puzzling to an, apparently, evolving Chimp. It can all be searched out on the internet right now. But it is a lot for a Chimp to comprehend.

My study of the Bible, on the other hand, which is a book with an unblemished record of accurate prophecy, indicates that Jesus will return at the “end of the age”. It also has dire warnings about Damascus, amongst many other upcoming events, that precede His return:

The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the Lord of hosts. ISAIAH 17:1-3

I am hoping that the Zoo management has lots of bananas in cool storage, things could get dicey.

Born again by the Spirit of God? Or born again as in turning over a new leaf? One will reconcile you to God for eternity, the other will give you a change of pace for a while, but death and separation from the life of God remain. AMEN!
